Hi, my name is Erin

I’m a storyteller, artist, cat mom, and crocheter. When referring to me you can use the pronouns she and her. You’ll usually find me creating new creatures out of cardboard, ocean dipping, or reading rom com novels. Something that I love about art therapy is that we can practice being and expressing our authentic selves alongside others who accept who we are.

And this is Jasper

The fluffy cat that finds all the secret hidden spots in the parks and gardens that we explore! He’s got a keen eye for squirrels, bugs and running children. If we are online, you will probably hear him yelling in the background for food. Jasper is named after the gemstone, which can symbolize strength, resilience and grounding. These are some powerful qualities that I lean on whenever I’m feeling unsure, anxious or needing guidance.

More About Me

Education

In 2024, I graduated from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute with a masters-level diploma of art therapy. I am also a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Victoria. I am committed to ongoing advanced training and consistent professional supervision.

How I Work

In my art therapy practice I primarily use a relational, strengths-based, person-centered approach.

To me this means that I am holding space in a genuine, honest, and flexible way where you can show up exactly as you are in the moment. Our time together is a collaboration and most importantly, you always know what’s best for you. I am also guided by humor and love to laugh with whoever I am with.
